Dayton SA240-B 240W Subwoofer Amplifier with Boost

After reading all of the reviews on here, I decided to purchase this amp. I have and older JBL 10" that had the known amp problem. I just ordered this one instead of trying to fix the old amp. You do have to cut a good sized hole in the side of the speaker box, but it's worth it. This thing POUNDS.

And just for the record, no humming or any wierd anomolies with this amp. Good product. I would recommend it.

I'm using a pair of these to power the woofers in my desktop speakers. These amps produce way to much noise for near-field applications. I imagine it would be worse with high sensitivity speakers. They also produce hum, even with a "cheater" plug. Otherwise they produce solid bass.

I recently bought a plate amp for my HT from OAudio that is nice and quiet. I can't even tell that its on with my ears next to the speaker, unless there is bass, and then there is bass aplenty.

You definitely get what you pay for.

The product was well packaged, instructions were clear, and after installing is working as expected!
