Dayton HTP-3 5.1 Home Theater Package 12" Powered Subwoofer

PURCHASED THIS SPEAKER SYSTEM IN CONJUCTION WITH A 42" LCD AND PIONEER RECEIVER FOR MY SON (12YRS OLD). MOUNTED THE SATELITES ON THE WALLS AND RAN THGE WIRES BEHIND THE SHEETROCK (EASY TO DO).USED HDMI CABLES AND AN OPTICAL CABLE FOR THE AUDIO. PLAYED NUMEROUS BLU RAY DISCS AND WAS BLOWN AWAY. UNFORTUNATELY, MY WIFE CAME IN TO HIS ROOM AND TOLD US TO TURN IT DOWN, THE HOUSE WAS SHAKING! ALL HIS FRIENDS ARE AMAZED.MUCH BETTER VALUE AND PERFORMANCE THAN ANY BIG BOX SYSYEM SOLD.

Greate system for the money 12" sub sounds greate lots of bass. The most bang for your buck perfect buy cant go rong order it now wont find any thing in price range to compare it to. The souround speakers sound great to.

Hooked these speakers up to a 5.1 receiver and was pretty impressed by the strong output from the satellites. The center channel definitely dominates in a 5.1 setup, but it isn't excessive. The 12" sub is clearly oversized for this system, but because of the incredible value, it's still well worth it because you can upgrade the front speakers later. I have the subwoofer turned down to 1/4 and it still sounds HUGE.

Overall a great starter system for a medium-sized room. Sounds are very crisp and clean with only a few minor frequency holes. But what do you expect for less than $220? A terrific bargain any way you slice it.
