DISCONTINUED Dayton BR-1S Shielded 6-1/2" 2-Way Monitor Kit

I was very impressed with the quality of everything in this kit, from the drivers to the cabinet. I have them sitting temporarily on my main speakers with built in subs. At moderate volumes you'd think the larger speakers were playing - nice amount of bass for a small speaker. At moderate volumes they sound very good - very detailed with plenty of punch. At lower volumes they are a bit lifeless though. Probably due to their low sensitivity. I'm considering buying a few more to set up a second home theater. Great value and shielded to boot (if you need that).

Very nice kits. The drivers fit perfectly in mine and there was more than enough screws and connectors to complete the job! The only minor issue I had was with the accoustic foam being crushed and I solved that by holding the foam over my kerosene heater a few minutes and voila it expanded back to its original size and shape.
the BR 1's have clear sound and a impressive bass roll off for a speaker this size. I had several friends over to listen to these speakers that are familiar with high end sound and they all gave a thumbs up and couldn't believe I only paid $99.00 a pair for these. I bought these to use on a home theater system for the surrounds and after listening to them I think I will just buy two more to use for the front.
