The Dayton Audio SUB-100 is the perfect subwoofer for small to medium sized home theaters or listening rooms. A 125 watt amp, long-throw front firing 10" driver, and dual rear ports produce impressively deep and clean bass. The amplifier features high and low level inputs, filtered high and low level outputs, phase switch, volume control, auto on/off (activated by an input signal) and a variable 12 dB/octave electronic low pass filter. Despite its small size, this subwoofer plays serious low-frequency bass that will rival the performance of much more expensive subwoofers. I'm new 2the whole "sub" thing but i'm a musician so i have a good ear. This sub let me down. Cosmetically it looks great and has all the crossover hook-ups lacking on other subs. Yet, the audio is not articulate @ all. It rumble ,even grumbles but not worth the cabinet its housed in. I tried multiple positionings + was dissappointed i had 2ship it back after the anticipation. 4the $$ go for a polk-audio. 10in.

This sub is great. I'll admit i expected a little bit more punch that it delivers, but then again i'm pretty much a novice in this field. Fills up a 15x20 room with power to spare.

I got this sub and hooked it up with some nice SVS speakers (SBS-01 bookshelf pair). This sub is a perfect compromise between the 12" and the 8". Surprisingly deep and crisp. Definitely worth the $130.
