DISCONTINUED Dayton ES10 Elite Series 150 Watt 10" Powered S

I needed a loud sub for a large room with a vaulted ceiling but I only had $250 to spend. I was also looking for something that would produce distinct, clean bass for music and still shake the house when watching movies. After doing lots of research, it seemed that this simply wasn't possible at this price point but the ES10 proved otherwise.

The Dayton ES10 Elite subwoofer is a real bargain. You would have to spend a lot more than $229 to come anywhere close to the performance. Rumor has it that
DR. Hsu designed the Elite series and you can definetly tell. It is my opinion that this is the finest subwoofer anywhere near it's price range. I have owned a few and am very happy with this one for sure!!

This sub works great. I was able to easily integrate into a system with large 3-way mains that have 15 inch woofers. I was wondering how a 10 inch sub would work with mains that have 15's in them. Well, this sub performed beyond my expectations. I have it crossed at 50 Hz, and it nicely fills in what I never realized was lacking in my mains. It is placed in a corner along the same wall as my mains, and I run it at about half gain. I have bypassed the sub's crossover and I am using the crossover in my Pioneer Elite SC-05 receiver set at 50 Hz to blend it with the mains. It is truly seamless, and you can never really locate where the sub is with your ears. My primary interest is music, and it works great for that, but I have also used it for movie watching and it serves that purpose well too. It has performed flawlessly for about one month, and I am 100% satisfied with both the product and Parts Express.
