Dayton Audio, known for producing maximum bang for the buck subwoofers, has enlisted the expertise of a world-renowned subwoofer designer to create the Dayton Audio Elite Series subwoofer line. This line of subs is impressive and authoritative. Only the best possible components were considered for use, and each subwoofer has been designed to create amazing low frequency performance at a price that's more affordable than many "high-end" subwoofers. A flared port has been used to reduce port chuffing and sound localization for unlimited placement options. Stereo line-level inputs and parallel outputs allow these subwoofers to be used in a 2.1 setting or for stereo subwoofer applications, and a mono LFE input with a Crossover Bypass switch enables use with a receiver that low-passes information to a subwoofer. Lastly, a variable phase adjustment helps to adapt each subwoofer to unique rooms for the greatest amount of output. custom installer from northern VA

Nothing can come close to this subwoofer for the money. Don't even try, I have. I am a custom installer that has installed everything from Polk to Velodyne.

Decent inexpensive 8" sub, lotsa features

CD from Santa Barbara

Needed a sub to augment some Behringer M16 powered monitors for 2.1 PC sound system. This sub is compact enough to fit under my desk, and has RCA in/out which I needed for the M16s and my external sound card. Works well, decent bass given an 8" speaker and vented enclosure, easy to integrate w/ the M16's sound. Can't reach the really low notes like a high end sub, but I didn't expect that. I'm not driving it too hard. Overall I'm very satisfied for the price.

Moving to a new house / new office (9x13), I ended up with an old pair of NHT Super Zeros on my computer. Bass Deprivation. This is a great match for the tiny speaker / small room combo. Tight, Tuneful, and it goes way deeper than I expected. Nice. Super Value.
