These are a bargain in the world of ceiling speakers. They have decent bass, a nice overall balance, and will play fairly loud. You can also get rough-in rings for new construction. For all but serious audiophiles these will work well for most ceiling applications.

Not the best I've ever seen--certainly not the worst, either. Good value, solid "middle-of-the road" performance. Not all speakers (or kids) can be "above-average"--nor should they be. This is perfect for the sound-reinforcement application I'm using it for, and I'm pleased with the performance, quality, and price. Will buy again if the need presents itself.
