Use these two speakers as my center channel in my home surround sound system and they sound great! I would recommend them for ceiling or surround sound applications. All the Dayton products I have used have perform great.

Very satisfied with speaker performance and appearance. Instructions should suggest that the installation screws should be tightened then loosened before the actual installation into the ceiling

I purchased these ceiling speakers for my camper and the sound quality is way better than what was stock 5-1/4 speakers. The one problem I had was these daytons did not fit into the stock location without a jigsaw. If I knew this I would have fit in some 8" coaxials. All together the daytons have better lower bass and much more crisp highs and for $50.00 I won't complain anymore.
