Linear Array Transducers

The patented dual-motor LAT 250 is designed to provide strong bass performance in a new vibration-free, cylindrical form factor. The driver may be configured for use in sealed, vented, bandpass, or open-baffle enclosures, and provides high bass output from a very compact transducer. In typical applications, the Tymphany LAT 250 has mechanical vibration more than 90% less than comparable loudspeakers, even at full output. Paired with the appropriate high frequency driver, the Tymphany LAT 250 is an ideal solution for lifestyle consumer electronics products such as flat panel TVs and sound bars, MP3 and cell phone docking stations, multimedia PCs, and other small devices. Note: The nominal impedance is calculated with both 4 ohm coils driven in parallel. compact woofer

i install this in my car bmw E36 318ti (2door)

front is Neo 3 + Neo 8 + LAT250 + Peerless 6.5".
peerless at kick panel, Neo3, Neo8 & LAT250 is at door with similar height level with Peerless

Active set up with crossover and amp for individual channel.

current cross setting is
Neo3 > 5khz
500hz < Neo8 < 5khz
80hz < Peerless 6.5" < 600hz
LAT250 < 250hz

all speaker have their own box. LAT 250 have about 6liter only.

i tested it with 15liter and 6liter. not much of a difference. 15l provide a bit deeper bass.

i have a kicker S12L7 sub woofer also. the LAT250 bring the "bass feeling" to the front.

overall, the LAT250 will be a low/mid woofer. it brings out those guitar lower notes very well. and helps to expand the sound well to those lower notes. but do not expect much for lower bass and vol.

There's more to these drivers than meets the eye if you really know your math. I have exceeded both the rated specs and my expectations by not thinking 'conventional box'...how's +/- 3db 35-150hz & 107dB@1w/1m/80Hz from a 24x16x10" box sound ;)
