Vifa A13CG-21-04 5-1/4" Coaxial w/Audax Tweeter

I own Cerwin Vega, JBL, Alpine, Pioneer, 5 1/4"
I bought these for $10 which I knew was an incredible deal
even though I had no use for them.
I mounted them in a very large 1.25 cu ft. Sealed speaker box made of 5/8" MDF with cleats on all 8 sides.
Connected to very powerful Pioneer stereo
the sound was very clear, the large cabinets gave the speaker extra bass. The sound clarity was impressive, the audax tweeter was had a shril sound but only on certain songs and at very high volume. I covered these very large speakers with a towel, I set the speakers 10 feet from a chair at 135' apart, my 21 yr old son listened and his jaw dropped when the towel was removed revealing a 5 1/4" speaker LOL
I am JOE, no certifications in sound, but I am a sound professional. I only wish i would have bought a dozen of these speakers at $10 a piece.
the audax tweeter can be unsoldered from the terminals with 6 of these in straight line array, add powered subwoofer, a midrange crossover, these could fill carnegie hall with sound.

two of mine (four) had surrounds that had come loose - just re-glued them - no big deal. its a car speaker for nine bucks!!! - i don't know why people are complaining. get some glue - glue it. it's that simple. if your tweeter is not working resolder the connections - probably a cold solder joint. yes - the tweeter is cheap by design - it's a nine dollar speaker!!! come on. rework the crossover if you have to - we are diyers, right? these are a steal - even with some assembly required.

Great little speaker for 9 bucks not sure where it will be used but in my computor sound setup for now .
