Every one says not to port these speakers but I did anyway. I found the box needed to be .56 cu ft which seemed way to big for a 3". I made it .40 to save space and ported them to 27hz which also seemed ridiculous. I crossed them at 5100 with some jamo tweets and they sound amazing. The first time a real low bass note went through them I had to rewind it to verify that they actually reproduced something that low and that it wasn't just something outside. I still can't believe how good they sound.

I like these speakers they suit my purposes. I did not put them in cabinets but made portable housings for them out of PVC pipe-end reducers. I understand that this type of application diminishes the sound quality of any speaker. However, I am not an audiofile and at 50 I'm loosing my high end tones as a natural progression of aging as per my hearing test! This store provided great service.
