DISCONTINUED Pioneer TS-SW2541D 10" IMPP Low-Profile Subwoof

I tested this subwoofer in two configurations (within the range of Pioneer's recommendations). I think that this sub sounded best in a 0.7 cu-ft sealed box (no fill used) if bass accurracy and extension is important to the listener. Next, I installed this subwoofer in a 0.55 cu-ft box with Pioneer's recommended port size. This configuration produced bass that was nearly as controlled as the sealed box, but with a noticable increase in sound output. I installed the ported box configuration in a mid-size SUV. I powered this box with a 200 W (rms) amplifier and a subwoofer cross-over (12 dB boost @ 45Hz). This combo literally slammed. This versatile sub is a great buy for the money and lives up to Pioneer's performance claims.

This is one fine subwoofer! I mounted them in the .7 cu ft boxes available from Parts Express and drive them with a Pyle PLAD213. Really good low end for a small package! Compliment the MTX 5.25" speakers that replaced the OEM speakers very nicely. Driven from a Kenwood X492, this system sounds super in my Jeep Cherokee.

This sub has been great sounding in my car powered by 150 watts. very impressive indeed.
