These little speakers break the rules, you not supposed to get such bass from such a small speaker! Like the reviewer below me, put mine in a .5 liter box ported to 50hz and they do it. Sometimes it is really hard to believe there isnt a small subwoofer. no filters just straight cable, these lil guys really don't need it they handle the full range happily at moderate volumes and come back for more. The video below is thye real deal, and is also what helped make my final decision, thank you for that.

incredible low frequency performance, it's unbelievable. It's difficult to believe a 3" speaker can play this low while maintaining fairly crisp treble. doesn't have that sparkle of a tweeter, but nicely laid back. Put mine in a ~550 cu in ported box tuned to about 45hz. easily performs down to 50hz at moderate volumes. in a small room, its really hard to believe there is no sub. it's now window shaking bass, but good enough for bedroom speakers. Currently using these as tv speakers, running full-range with a t-amp. I took off a star in features because of the stamped frame is weak especially in the corners. video of the excursion capabilities in a box i just had lying around.

My brother and step-brother heard these and both want a pair to have as bedroom speakers. will definitely make a good gift.
