2" Full Range Aluminum Cone Neodymium Driver

It may be good for some, but i have never been able to get listenable sound out of these even if used as cheap computer speakers. i've modeled these with winisd, and in both sealed and ported enclosures, i've had no luck. maybe if a filter was used it could be okay, but designing and making one would be like adding real chicken to ramen noodles. it would be defeating the purpose of a cheap speaker. I had low expectations, but was still disappointed by the performance.

excelent computer speakers with good voice sound quality. mounting is difficult as the flange is not very wide as well as the terminals extend some distance away for the speaker body. also the wiring is poor, small diameter and one speakers wiring came off during handling. I have placed two of these speakers into a .040 cubic foot box with some polyester stuffing and they are very good for that application. they are well worth the $4. just need some patience. have fun.

I wired 16 of these into an open baffle to break them in before pulling the specific TSPs. They sounded absolutely excellent. I got none of the harshness I had expected. They were very strong in the voice range and tapered slowly into the highs. A little EQ will even things out.

I plan to mate them with a 6.5" sub array and cross the two somewhere between 150 and 250.
