Dayton DC50F-8 2" Dome Midrange

Again, I would like to thank Wayne J for making his design available.
Following Wayne's recommendations was easy, and the results are great! These MIDs give there all, and more. I have been listening to my collection over and over, hearing things I never heard before. They are a good sonic match for the Veritas design. Strings are amazing, voices clear and strong.
Like others I was disappointed with the wiring tabs, other than that these are a good build.
Use them with a well designed crossover and appropriate woofer and tweeter, and you will not be disappointed.
I have listened to very expensive speakers with my own Music and have close comparisons to reference, and, this fall my Nephew was married and his new Father in Law hired a String Quartet which played Vivaldi s Four Seasons, so I had a live performance to compare to!
All I can say is I am looking forward to playing music like never before, I will sit up later than I should, keep my Wife up later than I should, and be sad when it is time to shut it off and go to bed!
Bear in mind the sensitivity rating these have, you need strong driver partners to get a good match.

Great performance for the price. I prefer a softer sound and this hits the spot.

I had the same problem as another person in that the voice coil leads were contacting the faceplate but a stripped Q-tip fixed that.

Overall, very satisfied

Replacement/s for my old bookshelf speaker cabinet system.I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this speaker matched the old speakers frequency range and ohms. Installation was easy and the sound is very good !
