Alesis 1" Shielded Soft Dome Tweeter

I am not able to fit this Tweeter in the speaker. The cutout on the speaker is small and the size of the shielded magnetic is wider. I need to return this.

This tweeter has a smooth detailed sound that does not get harsh when played loud. They are also very efficient. I compared the sound of these tweeters against several other from PE and also some Cerwin Vega horn tweeters that I have. The Alesis tweeters were smoother than others in their price range when used in a 3 way system crossed over at 4500HZ.

These are terrific! You'll be going a long way before you'll get a better deal! I m going to use 2 of them (wired in series) between the 299-250 Peerless 835004 SDS 6 4 ohm woofers that I also bought (again wired in series). This makes a D Appolito 2 way WTW system! The last time I purchased from Partsexpress I got Vance Dickasons cookbook. A 12 dB/octave 2 way Linkwitz Riley crossover comes highly recommended for such a system. I'll be using 2 of the 268-348 2 inch double flared ports (both ends) to complete the system! Do not use a skinny bass box, always use as big a baffle as possible!
