The 9950C-15 shielded tweeter uses a specially coated dome that offers flat frequency response and a very open and detailed sound quality. A tuned rear chamber and a lightweight ferrofluid in the gap provide a well-damped, low resonance point, making for easy crossover design. The 9950's take the technology of the 9930's one step further to include a copper shorting ring on the tweeter pole. This ring dramatically reduces the distortion levels, and also helps provide greater high frequency extension. The 9950 tweeters are extremely well made units that contain all of the features found on the highest-quality tweeters, but at a fraction of the price. Magnetically shielded for A/V use.
