1.0mH 18 AWG I Core Inductor

I had avoided this particular iron core inductor as it looked like it was of particularly low quality and poor construction. I had a project that needed a compact inductor of over 1mh with low dcr, and this was my best bet. I was truly suprised when I received the inductor, for the money, its very well constructed. This is essentially a steel laminate inductor, which I like quite a bit more than the typical ferrite core. The part required that I unwind a small amount to hit my target value, but I find this true of even the best inductors I have used. While probably within acceptable tolerances, the esr was a bit higher than expected, about 10% higher than specified.
