Tang Band W3-1053SC 3" Full Range Driver

Had a customer with a blown speaker in surround system. This worked great. It sounded better than the originals did.

Great design features, with average performance in stock condition. For sample of two transducers, frequency response measured plus 11 to minus 3 dB. Response begins to rise at 4 kHz, peaking at 11.6 kHz (plus 11), then falls before rising to a second peak at 16.2 kHz. There was a measured 3 dB magnitude difference between the two for the 16.2 kHz peak.

Used to replace cheap 3" speakers in car dash. These have a surprisingly smooth midrange and an unexpectedly good bass response for such small speakers. The treble is not bad for a speaker without a separate tweeter. Well worth the money.
