Tang Band 13-1761S 1/2" Silk Dome Tweeter Pair

These little guys distort and have no bass. I tried to use them for a subwoofer and... Just kidding!

These are perfect for line arrays, but to sound good need to crossed fairly high (no I won't give away my "secret" x-over frequency). They are half inch so I recommend using these in a three way design or with a mid-woofer that is capable of being crossover at 5K!

PS. My tongue and cheek is for the people rate a good product poorly because they fail to understand the spec sheet. If you don t understand the TS parameters: Qms, Qes, or Fs ask someone who knows. In the end it makes or breaks a design :)

I didn't find anything wrong with these so I'm not sure why an earlier review here had so many problems. Possibly a bad pair? Using them from 4000 Hz up non linear and linear distortion measurement results were very reasonable for such a small driver. I've just ordered 66 pair of these to be used in a CBT array for my home theatre center speaker. Because of the small size the center to center spacing will allow polar control to about 13 KHz. It will be interesting to see if I run into consistency issues, if so I'll post a follow up but right now based on what I've seen in the two samples I have very high hopes for these.

These speakers sound absolutely awful, they ring, there distorted. I tried and tried to get a good sound out of them but don't think it is possible. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase these, you will just have to buy different ones if you care at all about the fidelity of your sound.
