DISCONTINUED Tang Band 13-1264SA 1/2" Textile Tweeter

This turned out to be an excellent replacement tweeter for my DCM TF400's. I just put them in so I can't attest to the longevity but at less then $8.00 ea., how can you go wrong. Great sound even at high volume. I should have bought a 1/2 dozen more just in case my TF600's start to go.

I picked up a couple of these to put in a pair of DCM Timeframe 400's when one of the originals blew. It wasn't an exact fit and I had to carefully trim some of the sides off so it'd fit in the speaker-mount properly. It turned out to be a pretty good replacement for the originals. Affordable, a bit brighter than the originals, but still hold the tonal balance of the speakers in check. Would be better if they had quick-connect tabs rather than just solder pads. If you need a replacement tweeter, and this one fits the dimensions...it's a good buy.

These tweeters won't blow you away, but they're certainly decent for their price. I wouldn't buy that graph in TB's spec sheet, but they sound pretty clear, though I haven't tested their durability. I used them in a set of speakers I was making someone who was on a tight budget. Crossed them over 2nd order between 3000-3500 Hz, and they do all right. The other TB's are probably worth the few extra bucks if you're not on the tight budget, though. Worth a try as a replacement for blown tweeters too.
