Tang Band W6-1139SI 6-1/2" Subwoofer

I built a small sub for my office to fit into a tight area and this sub paired with low power plate amp sounds great. Tight bass and plenty of power.

designed a 35Hz tapped horn for these, very smooth & high output from a box size that has a dandy WAF.

I've had two of these running in a T.L. enclosure in my car for about two weeks and so far and the more I listen to them, the more I like them!
These replaced two ED 7Kv.2's (one of the surrounds was separating from the basket). They are installed in the same enclosure and are getting the same power (about 75w). Although these are rated to take less power than the ED's they have a stiffer suspension so they produce punchier bass and seem to distort less at high volume. The ED's are beefier subs, but the build quality on these TB's is superior. I listen to all types of music so I like a broad range of frequency response and these get surprisingly low for 6.5". Kudos to Tang Band for a great little sub at a reasonable price!
