The exclusive QCF® Quartz Composite Fiber material used for the cone and dust cap of these sound reinforcement bass drivers is virtually indestructible and extremely water resistant which allows them to withstand grueling environments like dance clubs and hot, humid concert arenas! Resisting humidity and UV exposure, these woofers also boast a workhorse construction consisting of a sturdy cast aluminum frame with black epoxy finish, Selenium's exclusive QCF® cone and dust cap, an impregnated cloth surround, 4" voice coil wound on a Kapton® former, huge 120 oz. magnet, stable double spider and three extra vent gap holes (in addition to a large central one) in order to reduce long term heat build-up.
