Selenium D220Ti-8 1" Titanium Horn Driver 8 Ohm 1-3/8"-18

The JBL JRX 125 speakers owned by our church had a horrible harshness that no amount of EQ could correct. After a bit of research I found that the high frequency driver was easy to replace, and after reading all the positive reviews I had just about decided on the Selenium drivers.

But I'd also read some favorable reviews on Eminence drivers, so as a final check I called the folks at Parts Express, who unhesitatingly recommended the less expensive Selenium units.

The drivers arrived promptly and the install kit included connectors that were properly sized for the new drivers - a very nice touch!

After about 12-minutes per speaker we were back in business and the difference was simply stunning! Smooth, extended high frequency response that sounded warm, not shrill, even at volume. Last week we had a shrill, muddled mess; this week we had a rich, warmly detailed sound.

I've worked with EV's in the past and love their sound, but I'm pleased to report that I now like the sound of our relatively cheap JRX 125s better. If you are picky about your sound, you need this upgrade NOW!

We bought two of these to load in our house built 2x15's at the recommendation of my salesman. They are remarkably efficient, easy to EQ, and will probably become our driver for these cabinets.

I own a pair of JBL sound factors 15" and the horn drivers were blown .I took them to be repair and was told that it would cost $90 peice to replace them what a rip off.Parts express hook me right up for half of that.
