StreetWires BASMS Side Mount Adapter Short

When you need to add stuff to your battery, they do the job great. It took me less than 10 minutes to install this item (due to the fact we had snow on the ground and my fingers ware cold).

Anyone adding sound equipment or inverters to their car would love this as well.

I installed this on a 1998 Buick Century.

Fits the red top I have in my Jeep. Now I can add accessories easily without having to tap off the main terminals.

I have used several auto battery terminal adapters over the past 20 years and found most to have soft metal threads that cause the adapter to loosen over time. A loose adapter will cause a high resistance connection under high current, such as cranking the engine. This adapter fits the Optima Red Top and Yellow Top batteries and does not require periodic tightening. When using this adapter with GM OEM battery cables, the same amount of thread is available as with the OEM side mount post which means you won't damage the battery with threads that are too long or too short. I have had two of these terminals in place on my truck for one year now, and am very satisfied with their performance.
