DataComm 45-0023-WH Bulk Cable Feedthrough with Remote Power Interface
Install power and low voltage cables behind your flat panel TV, your amplifier or other audio/video devices and feed the power from the equipment room. Since this system is only energized (electrically active) when the supplied 6 ft. cord is plugged into the "source" wall plate, installation can be completed by a low-voltage installer. Connect the source voltage to your power conditioner or surge protector to help protect the expensive television from electrical damage.
Installation is easy for any low voltage installer; pull standard 14/2 with ground along with the AV cables. Depending on your installation, install a retrofit or new work electrical box for the power receptacles. Insert the 14/2 through the access holes in the electrical box, prep the wire and connect to the terminals on the electric receptacles. When you are ready to energize the system, plug the straight blade power cable into the source wall plate and then into a nearby electrical outlet.
It is important that you have an understanding of electrical wiring practices before attempting installation. Consult an electrician if you feel your experience is not adequate with this system.
