Sherwood RD-7502 7.1 Home Theater Receiver

I ordered this only to find out that the HDMI is throughput only. The receiver has no audio via HDMI. The description does not mention
this and neither did the manual. I found it listed on 1 forum and then confirmed with live Tech here.
Was told the 7503 does have audio via HDMI.

Bit of a blonder to have
HDMI inputs and no audio conversion via them...

I would guess that 100 watts
is MAX output at 6 ohm. Had some small 50 watt rms speakers attached and they weren't distorted at 4/5 ths volume.

Not a pro but I found this unite easy to hook up.

My other unit seem to lack power in digtal mode. Had to crank it way up to 8 or 9. The Sherwood running around 48 setting on the volume useing
a Bose 5.1 speaker system.

This makes my second Sherwood. My first was the RD-6500 a 5.1 Home Theater. I use it in the bedroom.

I would recommend this unite. It has a 2 yr warranty were the Pioneer only has a 1 yr.
The extra 10 watts not really that big of deal with good speaker system. AS a teen in 1958 I saw a 10 watt stereo amp and a JBL Metrogon stereo speaker system blow the bay window out of the store.

i have had this product for about a year and a half. It is beginning to have problems. when i first got this product i was very happy, the value was nice and it sounded great. i have taken very good care of it. i have not played it too loud and kept it clean and used 8ohm speakers. But now when i turn up the volume a little the left front speaker drops out and dosnt come back on until the volume has been turned way up.
