Arrived broken - not a favorable first impression

This lamp uses 2 bulbs, one of which was bad on arrival. Coincidently I had ordered some spares so a replacement will arive soon, at my cost.
Removing the bad bulb required disassembling the unit, so I learned how cheaply built these are. I advise cutting the cord off, which might render it more safe.
It is quiet enough for my tastes, I hope, and the silk doesn't get chewed by the fan, 2 plusses. The tabletop unit I also got seems much louder - same lamp with a stand instead of chain. Go figure.
