These are not appropriately pre-drilled, so the posts crack during assembly while screwing together using the supplied wood screws. Be sure to pre-drill, and they should work well.

i love these speaker stands. partially because i got the pair for ~$25. that's a screaming deal. they are not super heavy high performance speaker stands but for the price they are dynamite.
