Firewire also known as, IEEE-1394, is a versatile, high-speed, and low-cost method of connecting a variety of computer and electronics devices. IEEE-1394 provides a pure digital link for up to 63 devices, while providing transfer speeds up to 400Mbs. Firewire can be found in Digital Video (DV) camcorders, scanners, printers, videoconferencing cameras, and fixed-disk drives. Cool Hand Luke from Northeast Tennessee

Works flawlessly with my HP laptop and my Sharp MiniDV camera. Really a great cable. Came in the original packaging from a national retailer that is located in many malls across the coutry. Soft and flexible with very nice gold plated connections. Couldn't be more highly recommended.

What?! from Clarksville, Tennessee

The longest, best quality, and cheapest 4 to 4 Firewire cable you'll ever find. It works as expected (DV camera, DVD recorder, notebook PC).

The nicest part, it was made for an electronics parts chain that now focuses on selling mobile phones. This is 4to4 cable is definitely not a no-name brand. :D
