HDMI has become the defacto standard for delivery of high-bandwidth, high-definition video signals. The HDMI signal is very delicate and is affected greatly by cable length, especially for cables with small diameter conductors. Lossy video signal manifests as sparkle on the picture, poor color depth, and/or partial to complete loss of signal. While most video displays employ HDMI receiver circuits that electronically compensate for signal loss, more often than not these circuits cannot overcome the loss. This HDMI extender is a simple solution for signal problems and quickly connects between two HDMI cables, increasing the effective range of the signal. For example, two cables with 24 AWG conductors can be used for a total effective length of 30 meters (over 98 feet) at a 1080p resolution! No external power is required as the extender is powered by an HDMI source’s bus voltage. The low power consumption of this adapter allows it to out-perform most other HDMI Extenders. Dimensions: 0.625" H x 1.125" W x 1.75” D. Note: Video quality is directly related to the interconnect length and cable construction quality, as well as the source components. It is important to know the equipment limitations before extending the cable length.
