This product does exactly what it advertises. The only thing to be wary of is the width. A lot of TVs and receivers space their HDMI ports rather close together. This adapter may block the nearby HDMI ports.

I wanted to play my PS3 on my widescreen 22" Samsung computer monitor. This was a cheap solution . I can plug the monitor directly into the PS3's HDMI port, and it works well.

Using a DVI cable, The picture is outstanding on my CRT RPTV. But, be careful where your HDMI port is. The STB location is to close to other jacks for this bulky adapter.
