The USB 2.0 Repeater Cable from Dayton Audio allows you to put your peripheral devices where you prefer and compensates for signal loss over the length of the cable, increasing the range by 5 meters. Simply plug the repeater cable into your computer's USB port and attach the accessory with its supplied cable. Two repeaters can be connected together to add a total of 10 meters to the effective range of your USB device. No external power is needed; the repeaters operate from the 5V USB bus.

As the title says, works as advertised. Full functionallity of 2 different USB devices, but neither was a hard drive so I haven't stress tested the USB functionallity.

Seemed to take much longer than normal to install the device, which is detected as a USB hub.

Seemed a little pricey but there may be more to it than meets the eye.
