I thought it was a regulated voltage Sunday, August 30, 2009
Jim Y from Central Indiana
The other poster is correct, it's output is not 3 volts. Without any load it outputs around 6 volts. Maybe it outputs 3 volts at 500ma but I would have thought this would be a general, i.e. regulated, power supply.

Had high hopes but.... Monday, January 12, 2009
Electrobob from San Diego, CA
I needed this charger as a battery replacement. Given that it's advertised as 3 volts, it seemed perfect to replace a couple AA batteries. I ordered two of the chargers and upon arrival threw them on my voltmeter to verify their performance. One was 6.1 volts, the other 5.8 volts. Pretty much double the represented voltage. Now I need to either wire up some resistors or keep looking...ugh.
