Excelent product

For the money , you cant go wrong . These RCA plugs are identical to a well known brand that I use . I use these on all my personal interconnects , just wish I could on the ones I sell (name brand makes people think its a better product , but these are the same) . I would bet they are from the same manufacturer . Only gripes , they are not solid copper ( but you cant expect that at double this price point ) and the strain relief can pinch through the cable if you over do it .

Can't be beat at this price. If you change gear around alot you may not want to use the locking connectors, but if you don't these are great.

Worthless Junk
Friday, January 30, 2009
cswann1 from Austin, TX

These are cheap and horribly designed. Do not wast your money.
The crimping tabs are so brittle they will break with almost no effort. Even worse, these will not fit over any RCA jacks in my house. The sleeve prevents them from opening up to allow them to be connected to anything. Really dissapointing product.

Response from Parts Express:
The 091-1065 is a solder style RCA connector (not crimp) and a few assembly hints will help in your successful installation.

First, strip the cable and fold the braid back over the jacket. Insert the cable through the connector body and align the center conductor with the center pin. Align the braid with the groove between the two flexible brass tines.

Solder the center conductor to the center pin and run a small solder bead across the groove between the flexible tines. For added support use the set screw to hold the cable firmly in place, but do not over-tighten as this will puncture the cable jacket.

Pull the cable shell up and screw lightly onto the connector body. After plugging into the RCA jack twist the shell until you have a snug fit.
