Balance of cost-preformance Sunday, October 4, 2009
Steve from Bryan, Ohio
I designed my latest Isobarik 2-way system with the less costly caps until I get the tonal balance then upgrade the caps to Solens. These Solen caps smooth out the high frequency as they don't saturate and cause harshness. The Solen caps are used with Morel MDS-30S tweeter and (a pair) Dynavox 6 woofers. The system has a 2300 Hz cross-over point for the tweeter on an 18bd/octave roll-on and the woofers on a 12 db/octave roll-off using the 18 gage Erse air coils throughout. The speaker's cabinets are a 1065 cu-in with a powerful low frequency extension of 32 hz! Crystalline highs,170+ sound stage, and a seductive midrange!

A Great Affoadable Cap Monday, April 28, 2008
DC 270 from N. TX.
Short of those "boutique" caps these are a very good upgrade name brand cap. I restore speakers and reccomend these to all my customers for a good upgrade cap- YES you can hear the differance of these over a typical electrolytic type too!!
