Dayton Audio QT255-4 10" Quatro Subwoofer 4 Ohm
The Quatro™ Series subwoofers have been designed and built based on the well-respected platform of the Dayton Series II woofers. By implementing a 4 ohm voice coil and extending the excursion capabilities, the Quatro™ woofers now become serious contenders for home theater and automotive use. The long excursion design and high sensitivity allows you to take advantage of modest power amplifiers, while the relatively high DC resistance makes them very friendly to 4-ohm stable amps and will not cause overheating or other amplifier stability problems.

Automotive:
The large magnet, rubber surround, and heavy-duty steel frame employed by the Quatro™ subwoofers make them exceptional for car audio use. While they may not offer the extremely high excursion capabilities of some of the more expensive subwoofers on the market, the Quatro™ subs can easily handle several hundred watts of power both thermally and mechanically. In their recommended automotive sealed boxes, none of the Quatro™ woofers will exceed Xmax even at 500 watts! When you stop to consider that the average automotive subwoofer install only has 150 to 200 watts of clean power available per driver, you realize that most of the very costly Xmax you are paying for goes to waste. The extra 5 mm of Xmax took twice the money out of your wallet, and you didn't even gain any output!
The beauty of using the Quatro™ subwoofers in your vehicle is that the output level and the low-frequency cutoff of the drivers is designed to match perf
