HiVi RT2C-A Planar Isodynamic Tweeter

The RT2C-A and RT2H-A have resistive impedance in the audio frequency range. This unique feature provides a friendly load for any amplifier and facilitates easy crossover design. Unlike other drivers, they have an essentially linear phase response that provides time coherent reproduction resulting in accurate musical rhythm and imaging. The clamped membrane of the RT2C-A is connected to the more massive round front metal plate. This, combined with a special heat conductive compound, provides effective cooling of the aluminum conductors, dramatically increasing its dynamic range. The mild horn shape of the flange of the RT2H-A provides a 1 dB increase in sensivity while avoiding the usual artifacts of horn-loading. Recommended crossover frequency is >1,700 Hz.
