This multi purpose, noise reduction material actually absorbs the vibration of any solid material. It is made of a mineral filled asphalt polymer that transforms vibrational energy into thermal energy (low level heat). The flexible nature of the damping sheets enables it to mold and conform to irregular surfaces. They can be cut using a standard razor knife and are self adhesive for easy peel / stick application. Great Budget Sound Deadening

Nothing to fancy here, just a simple, thin sheet that did a decent job of blocking sound. I used it in my spare tire well for my car, and it looks much cleaner as well as sounds better!

I installed 3 of these in my 2007 Silverado after
gutting the interior for a audio overhaul. Great on roof, and doors ect. I lowered my interior noise about 3-5 Db. Does have a aspalt smell to it, fairly strong

All my aud io equipment except for the amps are in an enclosed cabinet. I was worried about resonances since my equipment is tubed. I lined all the shelves with this material and the sound improved substantially.
