Great Amp Exept for the HUMMMMM....... Saturday, October 24, 2009
Gary Roach from Milwaukee, wI
Well Sounds like my story is the same as many other users. This is a great amp. Lots of raw power, great control of the woofer and good features. But I too have that hum problem. I had to lift the ground of the AC cord to fix the problem. Only a temporary fix and definatly not recomended. I wish parts Express would read these reviews and fix tthis problem.

Great Sub Amp Friday, June 12, 2009
Vance from Columbus Ohio
I have it hooked to a 15 Kove Armageddon (189 from partexpress) in a 12.31 cu ft box which has an f3 of 21.64 and tuning frequency on 22.69 running at 2ohm for 3 1/2+ years. It s amazing, and the bass hurt. I set the gain properly so that it barely clips and I'm set. If you don t have the sense to do that, don t run it at 2 ohms
I had the hum problem and a turn thump problem. I fixed the problem over the years in various ways by installing a car audio line filter, using a 3 prong adapter and by having all circuit plugged into the same outlet. At my new house, I did something even better. I ran hospital circuits to all of my audio video equipment and computers. A hospital circuit has 4 wires instead the usual 3. The first ground goes to the ground of the rest of the house ground (the common ground). The second ground which is the red wire which is usually the other positive 120 volt end of a 220 circuit has green tape on both ends to mark it as ground. Now it runs straight to the electrical box to a ground yet it doesn t touch any other ground in the house except at the box. This is an isolated ground. I ran 10 gauge wires from the breaker box so I could also run 30 amp circuits to the outlets
Doing these 2 things is better than running $10,000.00 line conditioners, voltage regulators and surge protectors. Doing this also fixed my hum problem and a turn thump problem with the sub
