Extremely rigid paper/Kevlar (R) composite cone * Fatigue resistant treated foam surround * Shielded vented Neodymium magnet system * Undercut magnetic poles * Die-cast frame with multiple point mounting The D8G is a design with a Neodymium magnet and undercut central pole placed inside 4" voice coil. A long-throw voice coil creates symmetric piston motion and substantial decrease of inductance. The magnet structure is optimized using Finite Element Analysis technique resulted in radical reduction of distortion. Vented design, effective heat transfer to the die-cast frame and a very large, high temperature rated voice coil dramatically increase power handling of the driver. Multiple point mounting virtually eliminates any structural resonances. D8G is excellent as a woofer for high power audiophile systems, where maximum bass extension in a compact or medium vented enclosure is needed.
