Jantzen's JA-6006 6” midbass driver features a massive 3" voice coil that provides exceptional linearity, a one-piece cast aluminum frame, polished steel magnet cap, rubber surround, and a polypropylene cone. The spider and pole piece are thoroughly vented to facilitate high power handling and to minimize compression. Excellent performance but comes at a price

Highlights- very low rear masking- excellent frame and magnetic system design- low distortion, HD2 and HD3 typically below -52 dB from 100Hz to 1 kHz at 88 dB. Probably the best of the Dynaudio klones, outperforms HiVi D6.8. It should, at about 3X the price. Well controlled cone shows no sign of breakup in nearfield test, does not have dip/suckout common to designs with small VC, phase plug, and curvalinear cone. Tested with Praxis and ACO Pacific mic.
