Take That, Denmark! Sunday, August 17, 2008
bilavideo from Lakeland, Florida
Everybody knows the Danes have the world's best caps, but they don't exactly give them away. I wanted to replace my cheap, generic, crossovers with good coils and polypropylene caps. After noting the low price of Dayton's standard polypropylene caps, I thought I could afford to splurge a little. But at $3.34/cap, Dayton's PMPCs don't feel like a luxury. I almost went with the Danes, anyway, but I'm glad I gave Dayton a chance. This is an exceptional product for the price. Auricap is five times more expensive; Audiocap is six. The PMPC is twice the price of Dayton's regular polypropylenes but we're talking about the difference between $1.69 and $3.34. Those who demand only the very best may still want the Audiocap. But at one-sixth the price, Dayton provides a top-quality product that brought real life out of my system. To repeat a time-worn phrase, why pay more?
