Dayton SA240 240W Subwoofer Amplifier

This amp has turned my dead PSB 5i from a footrest into something useful again. Great price, shipping was insanely fast (~3 working days for the free option!!) and it works great. A little cutting on the the back of the sub box, and I was back in action.

Everything worked correctly, but as with many others, I had the ground loop hum. Putting it on a 2 prong cheater (temporarily till I get an isolator) fixed the problem. This amp is missing a dedicated sub woofer input. Running the sub woofer out from my receiver to one low level input works, but the sound level is low even maxed out. I have not tried alternate hookups. Overall I'm very satisfied, but this could have been a better review if those little issues were fixed.

Well,after reading the reviews on this amp,I figured i'll give it a shot.My carver sub amp died on me after 10 years.Anyway got this amp,very good deal and very powerful.No HUMMM for me everything working great.Now the power on/off switch.It is a 3 way switch.If you set it in the middle that's the auto power on,if you have it allway to the left it's always ON.Try it out.
