Dayton MCA2550D 2.1 Channel Class D Amplifier

I used this to build a simple Left/Right sound bar and subwoofer for my flatscreen TV. I used two Hi-Vi B3N's in the bar, and one 10" woofer for the sub. It's small, it's light, and it has more power than I need. The sound quality great, and the simplicity of being able to implement a sound bar with no AV receiver is pretty sweet. I gave it a 4.0 for features because I wish the crossover adjusted the high-pass too. I can't wait to make up a new project based on this amp.

But it's power is rated at 1% thd, which you can notice, and it doesn't really sound like it's making it full ratings. Otherwise awesome. if this amp was roughly twice as powerful, or possibly just as powerful as it's Ratings claim.... I'm going to test mine and post the results here, but you can betcha' it isn't making rated power.

Used this to build a 2.1 computer set up. Finally, I have a system I love. Speakers used (2) Tang Band W3-1053SC 3" Full Range Driver . (1) Dayton SD215-88 8" Shielded DVC Subwoofer .For me the clarity is exactly what I have been looking for, and plenty of power to boot. I listen to a wide variety of music from Bluegrass to Metal so far I am more than pleased.
