Many USB devices today are competing for the limited number of USB ports available on your computer. A USB hub expands the number of available USB ports, but not all USB hubs are created equally. Many lack full USB 2.0 support for high speed data transfer, others do not include a power supply to boost and supply current for each connected device transferring power demands to your computer's already taxed power supply. This 7-port USB hub supports the USB 2.0 format for data transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbps—essential when connecting external hard drives and DVD burners. Additionally, a 5 VDC, 2.6A power supply is included to provide power to connected devices taking the burden off of your computer's power supply and allowing for up to 19 hubs (up to 127 devices) to be daisy-chained (cascaded). Also included is a 5 ft. USB connection cable. Included power supply works with input voltages of 100 to 240 VAC. Compatible with Windows 98SE and higher, as well as Mac OSs, the PS3, and Xbox 360 (essential for playing Rockband 1 and 2, as well as Guitar Hero World Tour). CE and FCC approved.

Like most Vist products this upgrade was not automatic. Vista was not automatically included with the upgrade and the upgrade did not work automatcally.
