Dayton DA135-8 5-1/4" Aluminum Cone Woofer

I used theses in a set of speakers My brother and I put together. 12 on the bottom,then the great 5 1/4 and dayton dc28f tweeter on top. WOW,even with the RCA 12 100 watt woofer they still have great bass. I think the 5 1/4 is why also have a 4" port. The tweeter is the cherry on top. Another GREAT dayton product. After listening to the DA135-8 for almost a year of daily use I can report it has no issues. Though I'm not driving these to ear-splitting levels, and there are two drivers per cabinet, they seem free of distortion when turned up. They make great bass and the mid-range feels true. I'm very pleased with their overall performance.

Mediocre performance, low sensitivity, and ragged response, especially over 2KHz are enough reasons not to buy this woofer. After a few months I swapped these for a pair of DC130BS-8's and it was a BIG improvement. And they were a dollar cheaper!
