Parts Express Customer from Unknown Location
I used these woofers to replace the stock 5.5 X 7.5 6-ohm woofers in a Mustang s Mach 460 sound system. I have another Mustang with the same sound system for comparison. They are installed in the doors. They are wired in parallel to an 85-watt amp. The low-pass signal to the amp starts to ramp down above around 1000 hz. I fabricated adapters from .5 inch MDF. The result is fantastic in comparison to the stock woofers. Bass is tight and clean. I am very satisfied with these woofers, and I will be upgrading the other Mustang s sound system with them. One of the speakers had a loose voice coil that was slapping at moderate volume and up. Parts Express promptly shipped a replacement. Great customer service.
