Very powerful output Thursday, November 19, 2009 Parts Express Customer from Lake City MI
It has very strong and steady output with great control. Very, very punchy lows. It takes gobs of power (over 400 watts from Adcom 550 amps!) hour after hour with no problems.

Outstanding Woofer Replacement Friday, July 10, 2009 Dennis S. from Brooklyn Park,MN
I used it to repalce the woofer that blew out in an 18 year old American Acoustics D8550E 3-way speaker. Dropped right in and sounded fantastic. Highly recommend it as a replacement woofer.

EXCELLENT WOOFER REPLACEMENT Monday, March 30, 2009 John from San Bernardino, California
I recently purchased a pair of these Dayton ST385-8 15" Series II Woofers to replace my 18 year old Optimus Mach III (Realistic) due to surround rot out. I didn't want to purchase a new complete set of speakers because I liked the way these speakers looked so my other option was to replace the woofers. The sound is EXCELLENT and the quality of the woofer looks much better than the Mach III. The only thing I had to do was to enlarge the cut-out by 1/8 of an inch which was no problem. I'm using a YAMAHA receiver to drive these speakers. I would recommend these woofers and I also like is the 5 year warranty.
