Pioneer C16LU20-51F 6-1/2" Woofer

My dB PLUS 440 Bookshelf Speakers (Audio Products International) from 1989 had blown Woofers and needed replacements. The 6-1/2" Pioneer Woofers are the closest match I could find anywhere considering the specs of the dB PLUS: Frequency response: 40-3,000 Hz (the later is crossover), SPL: 94 dB 1W/1m and 80W RMS. The install was like a direct replacement - no modifications needed. The sound coming out of them is excellent with a descent bass and a clear midrange. Just how I remembered the original woofers.
I'm very satisfied.

My DAC sub woofer was subjected to a vacuum cleaning, so I needed to buy replacement speakers. These are heavier, and sound better than the old ones. The thought of repairing the old speakers passed quickly. It would cost about 40% of buying these, and then how would they sound? I also wanted to buy some other less expensive speakers that were not in stock. These fit the spot very well.

All things considered, I was very pleased with the purchase and quality of these speakers.
